Abstract

This article discusses the creation of works of art based on ceramic art. The background to the creation of this work of art is based on the imperfections and failures in life that every human being has that we should be aware of and embrace tightly, not to be rejected or avoided, but these things must exist for the survival of human life. This creation aims to create floor tiles that exist around us but are damaged again through the author's creative method to create an impression of acceptance of imperfection that is present in every audience who enjoys it. This research integrates the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic art philosophy which examines the beauty of imperfection in life. Keywords: imperfection, failure, ceramics, acceptance
